Embrace Your Features is a heartwarming and empowering picture book that encourages children to celebrate the things that make them unique. Through colorful illustrations and a positive message, Christina Testut reminds young readers that their differences are not flaws...they're what make them special. As an educator, I love books that help build confidence, self-acceptance, and kindness, and this story does exactly that. It's a wonderful addition to any classroom, school library, or home bookshelf and opens the door for meaningful conversations about self-esteem and embracing who we are. 📚

There's something magical about walking through the children's section, browsing colorful covers, and imagining the excitement on little faces when they hear a new story for the first time. I've included a video vlog from my visit along with photos of the books I chose and their titles below!
As an educator, the library has always been one of my favorite places. It's more than just a building full of books...it's a place where curiosity grows, imaginations come alive, and lifelong readers are born. Some of my happiest childhood memories involve trips to the library with my mother, and now I love sharing that same joy with the children I teach. Whether we're learning about friendship, animals, feelings, or faraway places, books help us explore the world together, one page at a time.
